Speaker Recommendations (for non-Naim electronics)

Hi all.
My friend is looking to buy new speakers in the £300-£500 bracket. He has Cyrus amps. I would really appreciate any general recommendations that you may have at this price level.
I haven't looked at speakers closely since U bought my EPOS ES22's five years ago (I remain happy with them) and even then not at this price point - so I didn't want to recommend anything without getting a few other opinions.
