I'm a cat-fancier (and proud of it)

Love cats. Spent the entire afternoon on Saturday at a Cat Show with my friend who bred our little stud Devon Rex.
This is him as a newborn:
His stud name is Loriendale Edward Kelly de Bray. We call him Diesel.
Unfortunately his mother licked his ears a little too much when he was tiny. They started bleeding and so she licked them more... until the vet had to trim them and stitch them. Unfortunately, the ears are the most noticeable feature on a Devon Rex - often being compared to bats' ears.
Here he is at about 1 year:
Now he has sired eleven kittens. Here's five of them:
Two of the kittens have been bought by a Finnish breeder and will be exported to Finland when they are old enough.

Not much meat on one of them. I guess thats why they come in sixpacks and dozens?

Don't put them up your nose.

Do you have a dog for the sub-woofer.

Four would be a challenge:
"Good Lord - I've heard about this - cat juggling! Stop! Stop! Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! Good. Father, could there be a god that would let this happen?"

I have had cats and dogs. I like/admire cats' independence: cats usually have attitude, but all the cats I have had in my life have been very affectionate. You just have to accept that the relationship is conducted on their terms. Dogs are the opposite.

Dogs are boring

Deane, do you know why the mothercat licked the ears that much? Was it only this kitten, or did it happen to the others too? Kinda strange...

A friend of mine once his described his dog as a perfect machine for turning perfectly good food in sh*t!

Into, of course.

Poor Diesel looks like he's been stuffed by an amateur taxidermist in a hurry.

He was an only kitten. There were two in the litter but the other kitten was stillborn. It wasn't her first litter either - so it was a strange thing to happen. But his mother's tongue is incredibly rough - even for a cat.
Still, we got him cheap at $350 because of the ears. His stud fee is $500 though...
Anybody else here charge a stud fee?
