If you only bought records that were good recordings you'd miss out on a lot of good music.

the single is great and there are meant to be amazing live....check my space to listen if you haven't heard anything, or just put on radio one as they are giving it loads of play.

There is alot of stuff that is good on radio and unlstenable at home, just wanted some opinions.Have not listened to R1 since DLT left! Maybe that rules it out then.

Like David I've been tempted, but don't want another compressed disappointment in my collection.
Does anyone know if the CD is also good?

The answer depends very much on you liking screechy vocals. Screeching seems to be very much in vogue at the moment with artists such as Duffy, Adele and Florence + machine putting out tracks that just grate. They can be fine when they are in their vocal range but pushed a bit they just fall apart. The Florence and the Machine Live Lounge cover of Beyonce's Halo would have been a career ending vocal had she been on pop idol Smile. Jo Whiley said it was "one of the best things we've ever had in the Live Lounge". She's obviously spending too much time sucking up to the music industry.
