I guess you need to enable samaba networking. Goto apple preferences then click sharing.

In sharing click on options and enable SMB

Back in sharing click on the plus button on shared folders and select the itunes music folder you want to share.

If thats not it then I have no idea!

SMB can take a while to 'come on line'

Give it a while.

I am speculating here, i.e. guessing as to how the serve finds shares someone who owns one might know better!

Incidently the networks shares will appear under 'workgroup' then your macs name

Unless yo uhave stated something else for the SMB share name

The Manual states the following:
quote:
Note: Network Shares are only enabled automatically if
their name contains the words “music”, “MP3” or “Content”.

Otherwise, AFAIK, one has to manually add the share to the Serve throught the setup menu.

Furthermore it says:
quote:
In order for network shared music files to be available to UnitiServe, for network or local playback various conditions must be met:
• Folders containing audio files must be set up to be “shared”. Refer to the folder’s host computer operating system user manual for details on setting up shared folders.
• Music files must be in AAC, FLAC, MP3, WAV, Apple Lossless, Ogg, AIFF or WMA formats (up to 24 bit, 192kHz).
• Music files must be unprotected by DRM encoding that restricts them to specific playback hardware.

I cannot read from the OP if all these conditions have been met.
