2nd Room Options

Chaps,

As they say on this stuff I'm a virgin so go easy.

Simply I want to run off my main system into the kitchen/breakfast room. The main system (see profile) in the lounge will remain and I have no desire to change either source (the CDX2 might be upgraded to a CDS3 but that's all) but merely wish to be be able to pipe into the old BWCM2 speakers in the other room. Further Mrs wishes to do this wireless.

I think my best bet is to do this with a Sonos box off the tape loop on my NAC 282 linked to my router and then a Sonos box/amp on the CM2s. This would also provide me the option to stream internet radio into my main system.

Alternatively I thought about a Unitiqute but as I see it I don't think this would allow an interface with the my main system.

Comments suggestions guys.

Regards,

Lindsay

The 'Qute would only give you access to radio/DAB (via a connected aerial) and or internet radio if it is networked to your router. It could also access music stored on your computer provided it is switched on (or a suitably loaded NAS with a media player such as a Buffalo Linkstation Live) via a wireless or wired network. Wired seems to work better in most people's experience if the netwrok has lots of other devices or users but seems reliable when I've configured mine that way.

A Uniti would of course give you all that plus a standalone CD player.

I hope that is straightforward.
