Hi,
I would like to invest in a confifguration hometheater naim and I put myself the question when with the replacement of the AV2.
Have information on a date of launching of the AV3?

Hi R4M and welcome to the NAIM forums.
The AV2 is a very fine AV processor. There was some talk quite a while back of an AV3, but I'm not sure if the AV3 was going to be a direct replacement for the AV2 or a higher up the range big brother. Either way we have all been waiting years for an AV3 or word of an AV3 or even a little tiny whisper, but we have not seen or heard a thing. Nothing in the Naim world moves very fast so I'd be sure you could go ahead and purchase an AV2 in confidence without any worry of the AV3 being here this Xmas, next Xmas or probably the Xmas after that!
Since Naim have released the n-Vi the second hand prices of the AV2, NAP175 and DVD5 have dropped through the floor. I think that this is because many traditional Naim users although they love to spend thousands of pounds of money on boxes and boxes of 2 channel systems they do not feel the same about multi channel systems. You tend to find that many would rather go for a nice neat all in solution that doesn't cost to much and doesn't produce too many nasty boxes for AV, but are quite happy to spend £50,000 on their 20 box Naim 2 channel system!

Thank you for your answers, very interesting.
You will have understood well that my concern relates to future signals HD, dolby digital HD and DTS HD.
A configuration hifi bases on 3 amplifier NAP200 + pre amplifier NAC202 to which one adds a powerful video processor does not have a relationship with the system NVI, which same if it is tempting does not remain about it less one small system.
