Elizondo (England v Portugal) chosen as World Cup final ref

Referee Horacio Elizondo, who sent off Wayne Rooney against Portugal, will officiate in the World Cup final between Italy and France.
I thought he was a decent enough ref.

Me too. So was the guy who ref'd the Germany v Italy game.

Or the bloke who refereed last nights game. Not one single booking until about the last ten minutes.

Unfortunately semi-final refs can't get the final - the chap from the Germany v Italy game was superb.
The chap who's got it hasn't been too mad - certainly a lot better than some that were there.

Thought that both semi refs where good. Just hope the players help.

Bring that English chap back - he can book everyone 3 times and set a new record.

That man is Graham Poll.
He has many cards to dole!
As the cautions begin to mount.
Someone will realise he can't count!
