Whooosh!

Whay does my CDSII make a mechanical 'whooshing' noise when I play one particular CD - KD Lang 'all you can eat'. Is the hole slightly off centre or too big? Is it a 'warped' CD? Has anyone else experienced this? The CD plays but there is this annoying mechanical noise (perhaps a slight rubbing as it rotates) which is not present with other CDs.

My CDS2 does it too with one or two CDs. My theory is that they're a bit knackered and/or warped so that the servos have to work harder. Or something.

Anyhow I just turn up the amps so I can't hear it...

Yes the KD Lang CD plays well enough but as you say the volume has to be turned up a bit.
