AV2 problem

Posted by: Neil Bennett on 06 November 2009

Recently I've experienced a problem with the AV2. It's left in standby but used relatively infrequently. When it is, there's no sound through any input, but if switched off and immediately on again with the power switch at the back of the unit, it's fine again, till the next time a day or two later.

Any idea what's wrong?

I have experienced the same problem mostly when there is power supply shock. I have ups for my pc network, which records every shock and most of the times the av2 stops processing the digital signal at the same time.

For this issue, check you have the latest firmware first:

Boj: I am confused by your use of the word "shock". I assume you mean overvoltage/brownout transients?

What is your location? UK standard is +/- 10% VAC max.

Thanks AV@naim; I can't get into that link you've pasted/don't have permission, apparently. Can you advise the firmware version I should have?

Yes, I mean overvoltage and yes. I live in Sofia, we have standards too... in theory.
