Disc stabilizer question

Having recently purchased a rega p3 I have begun to think of ways to tweak its performance. First was getting the Expressimo Heavyweight for the RB300 arm. This is a well worthwhile upgrade! I have just now got myself an audio-technica disc stabilizer - it just plonks on the spindle and sits there. I can't make up my mind about sonic improvements as yet, I need more time. My question is this: being 600gm, will this cause any long-term bearing damage to the table?

Also, does anyone else use a similar stabilizer? Thoughts?
