Japanese Toshiba EMI?

This is a most elusive label in the UK. Amazon[dot]co[dot]uk has taken the releases they had up only a fortnight ago [available or not] off the site. The German, French and US branches of Amazon do not list the recordings I am after! These being the venerable recordings on the harpsichord of Bach played by Helmut Walcha that the Japanese branch of EMI has issued currently. I have the one with the Italian concerto, the Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue, and the French Overture [Partita] on, and it is splendid! The best disc I have bought in perhaps three years!

Does anyone know how I could order these recordings? I have the catalogue numbers, but finding them for sale, accessible in the UK has beaten me!

Any useful suggestions would be more than gratefully received!

HMV Japan?

They provide a good service.

Thanks for the link! Frustrated, though because the issues that are available from the series are already covered here by the big French EMI set of the Well Tempered Clavier, Inventions, and the Goldberg Variations!

Even the Japanese issue I managed to grab two weeks ago from UK Amazon, of the Italian Concerto and varied programme, is not listed.

Patience is required, and hopefully the others will be issued and freely available in Europe eventually!

Thanks again! ATB from George.

As a sop to myself, I have ordered the fine DG Archive set of Handel's Organ Concertos led by Pinnock!

No frustration with European issued CDs!
