One major and one minor point(s). Help welcome!

First, someone please reassure me on the AV2 because I've just bought a s/h one and a post on AV2 problems has immediately appeared. Now I may be a paranoid, but have I just bought a hydiosyncratic buggy box? Hope not.
Second point: has anyone with DVD5 as only source and AV2 tried both analogue CD replay with a good cable, say a HiLine, and digital via the AV2 internal converters?
Experiences/opinions?

No that's the n-Vi

. I cant comment on the AV2 for music but with the DVD5 its a superb video player. I've certainly (little bugs apart) been very happy with my n-Vi - Picture and sound is very good.

Funny, I was going to mention the n-Vi ! But I thought I would keep my head in...

To be fair Massimo, there is a lot going inside these boxes and things can and do go wrong....Even the Japanese AVR's play up every now and then...

I would guess, as you have bought a pre-loved one, from a good source, if it's working ok now, it should be fine for you....Relax, and enjoy what it does for you.

That's what I'm hoping to do soon.

Massimo,

I've had both the AV2 and DVD5 combination for a number of years now and they're both pretty rock solid. Wouldn't worry about them. AV@Naim's correct it may be worth checking they're running the latest firmware, but I'd say that's due diligence more than anything.

Great combination by the way. I've had time to stay in recently and watch Dark Knight and Indiana Jones. Fab fun

I know, I've put it up for sale to see if someone would like it. It's been a hard choice to sell it as it is an amazing player. Only thing that touched it I'd heard was the Krell Showcase at over double the price for a tiny difference.

I'm looking more into distributed audio and media server to multiple displays.

Though if it doesn't sell, I'll just keep it

Thanks for your advice and support. My new AV2 (on its way from Germany) should be 3 years old, I'll check with software/firmware. Hopefully I won't have to send it to Naim HQs, but we'll see. having bought also n-Center and 175 (good bargains from UK), I now am facing the issue of rear speakers and would even dare considering a cheap alternative to n-Sats.. I'm beginning to feel guilty about the money.
If anyone has suggestions, they're welcome.
