Better value than some of the box sets being offered at the moment IMO.

Is there a track list anywhere?

I was their, just growing my hair in 1970.

I have Commemorative boxed set 459/1000 from the original publication, approx year 2000. Everything is signed by Freedie Bannister. There were no CD's at the time and looks like this...

The Bath Festival of Blues and Progressive Rock - 1970 is remembered here

Blue,

I missed the floyd completely Eek. I had been up for 48 hours and wandered off to get some kip in one of the big tents before they came on Frown. My friends told me the firework display at the end of AHM was spectacular.

We were half way up the hill, to protect our delicate ears from the 5000w PA (probably used as stage monitor power these days) Big Grin A landmark to guide us back to our spot was a "F**k The Grocer" flag. Ted Heath was held in high esteem at the time of course Smile

Another thing I remember was the wind blowing through the valley during the day. This took the sound with it of course, but @ night it was like adding a 555 PS Smile

Great memories with some of the best bands around at the time in 1970. It was a better line up than the first Glastonbury in 1971, where the headline was Mark Bolan. The one Glastonbury I wish I could have seen was 1997, when Radiohead played one of the best sets in the festivals history.

I was there as well - what a great though utterly disorganised weekend. Highlights included Led Zeppelin, who did an amazing set including 5 encores, Johnny Winter and Santana. I was wandering round the site while Pink Floyd were on (about 2am) then slept through John Mayall (featuring Peter Green I think!!) and Canned Heat. Also good were Flock, Zappa and Hot Tuna. We sat through what seemed like hours on the Sunday afternoon watching Joe Jammer (whoever they were) and Donovan (who wasn't even on the programme) filling in time while a lot of the other bands were stuck in the traffic, then missed Dr John, Country Joe, The Byrds and Jefferson Airplane as they were on so late.

A friend of mine spent an hour trying to persuade my Dad to let me go (he wouldn't). I was far too young!
I did go to the 1971 Tupholme Manor Park Folk festival though, run by the same company - I think the brochure is in one of the pictures above. Byrds acoustic, Sandy Denny with R Thompson, the classic Steeleye lineup, Buffy St Marie, etc - great day out, and you could sit down!!
