BBC Sound of 2010

Any takers? I vote for The Drums - love the simplicity and humour.

Also good to see my boy from da endz in there (so I am told - Confused). At least it's not about flipping Rio or gun crime. Well, almost...

I looked up the 2009 list - if breaking in 2009 is the test, the predictions were pretty good (and definitely better than Lawro's efforts on BBC Sport Roll Eyes ).

I only know one of those on the list, 22 year old Pete O'Grady, otherwise known as Joy Orbison.

Believe the hype. His dubstep/house track, Hyph Mngo, has justifiably been played everywhere lately, so he gets my vote.

I've been down with Delphic (know the chap who discovered them very well and got them signed to Kitsune), Owl City and Ellie for a while. Happy they're beginning to get whats coming to them.

Above all though, Everything Everything have restored my faith in modern music. Live, I feel like a kid at his very first show (very rare indeed for a cynic like me). I want to buy the T Shirt, the 7" and scream at them every time I see them. They have just signed to Geffen so expect big things!!!! Naim Edge just wasn't big enough for them...strongly recommended.

I dig Giggs as social commentator but Devlin is a poor mans Giggs - can't beleive he is even in the same list!!! Despite Speech not topping 10,000 scans - there appears to be a real reverberant fondness of unsubtle grime-hop.
