I've been currently listening to a soundtrack called "UP the Junction"(Fontana TF908 [1968]) for which I can say I am very impressed. Does anybody know if he(Hugg) has any more work with or without Mann??

YES, I ENJOY MOST OF THIS ALBUM. EXCEPT FOR THE "DO WAH DIDDY" CRAP THIS ALBUM MUST HAVE BEEN AHEAD OF ITS' TIME. THE JAZZY SIDE TO IT IS EXCELLENT...THE SOUDTRACK MENTIONED HAS A VERY STEAMY, "WRONG SIDE OF THE TRACKS" SOUND TO IT...HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF A BAND CALLED "IMPALA"? THEY DO A SOUNDTRACK CALLED "TEENAGE TUPELO" (A"B" MOVIE) WHOSE MUSIC INVOKES THE SAME RESPONSE...GREAT R&B...

Impala are a great band - I saw them live a couple of times at the Bellingham GarageShock.Good Ol' Rawk & Roll. If you like this sound, maybe check out a few more of the Estrus labels bands such as The Crown Royals(great sax wailing R&B-Funkier than Impala),Satans Pilgrims (more of a surf sound) or even the Grandaddies of all this, The Wailers (NorthWest version-not Marleys backing band)who pratically invented the sound.
