How the hell did you know that? I am too young to actually have seen led zep (in original line up), which I am very disappointed about but thankfully the records sound half decent.

Very jealous of people who had the privilege of seeing them, of which I assume there are a few on here, and I can also assume that are going to rub my nose in the fact that I never got the chance. But I'm not bitter......no, not at all Winker

buy the DVD of concerts, I bought Song Remains the Same, great fun they had making it more than just concert footage. I was about 17 at teh time, and never would have gotten permission to go in to LA. I also sadly missed Dylan's big tour with the Band.

Me too I sold some tee shirts drawn while you wait @ £1 ago, with the Led Zep Lettering shaped like a Zeppelin ,you may have seen them!

One hot sweaty Saturday night I squeezed into the small dance hall at The Toby Jug, Tolworth & had my ears comprehensively done in by LZ on one of their first U.K. dates.

Don't ask me the year; the sixties is the best I can manage...

Close but no cigar Big H. It was the last gig in the UK but the last one anywhere was in Eissporthalle, Germany almost 11 months later on 7th July 1980.

I thought Berlin was the last gig ever on the 7th July 1980.

I knew it was in Germany somewhere but looked up Achilles Last Stand for details. And looking at it again I see that it lists it as Berlin, Germany - Eissporthalle. So it's just the venue name that I got confused - see BigH it doesn't pay to be a pedant Smile

It's also shown on the posters you posted Stu - on the guy's left shoulder. Wonder what happenened on the gig listed for the 8th ? Ah wikipedia just says it wasn't performed - no reason given.

Cheers

Scott,
Those pictures are the covers of the cds, sound board recordings of the gigs.
Stu

Are these soundboard recordings any good, Stu ? I never got to see the band, live and although I love their music, every "alternative" recording I've ever heard (apart from the BBC ones which were later released officially) were to put it bluntly, crap.

For sure - that one just sticks out to me because it is so out of character, and you can usually stump people with it as a trivia question!
