Where should I put them?

I dont want the comedy answer that I will no doubt get.

I have Ruark Epilouges, a little standmount speaker that was the best I could afford at the time, and I am yet to come across somthing that I can afford to beat them.

They are rear ported, and I am never sure how far from the back wall they can go in relation to how far from the side walls they are. I move them from time to time, but as I gain one thing I loose an other.

Any advise as to positioning relative to the walls would be good.

Hi Simon,

Have a look at this link here
I did print off a handbook that Ruark produced for this reason (speaker specific). If I find it, I'll email it you.

The simple answer is; that they're right where they sound right to you.

If you are experiencing bass INXS, close to the rear wall; try the old trick of packing the ports with drinking straws to reduce bass output.

Good luck.
