Defunct 135
Posted by: Rockingdoc on 28 August 2002
My dealer says the 135 has already gone, and gets the strong impression that the whole 'old case' range (e.g. CDS2, 52, 250) is for the chop very soon. Anyone else aware of this?

Yeah, I heard of that the old olive look will be changed, nothing else.

IMO Naim SHOULD offer the possibility to choose between the "old" and new design for a certain period. Only exchanging the design without pleasing the taste of good customers wouldn't be appreciable! Long live the "old" style!!!

Oh no. My info is that they are being dropped, not re-cased. There will be NO 135.

So what is likely to replace the 135's then?

Just have a look in the Hi-fi comics at the dealers with long lists of ex-dem Naim for sale, then you decide if the olive look is going.
It reminds me of the story during the Vietnam war when the Americans knew a Vietcong offensive was coming because all the local dogs disappeared.

Hi Jez:
Just outside of Minneapolis in Minnesota, there's a Vietnamese restaurant called 'Charlie's'.
A faux pas of gastronomical proportions?
Best Regards,
