No - why would I want to.

Thought you were supposed to leave the supplied fuses alone and listen to the music.

Your not supposed to even mention the "F" word here.

Rotf, why would you want to? Because people who have tried them say the IsoCleans make an audible improvement. I realize this may not apply to Naim kit, but until someone tries it?
I do not want to leave anything alone, if it is going to bring me closer to the music.

I often hear about tweaks - magic cables, mains leads and, when, it comes to Rega kit some times surgery. Very few of these seem to bring me closer to the music I've had a whole load of Origin Live mods demonstrated to me over the years and I thought all of them degraded the sound of basic Rega TTs - so I guess I've given up tweaking and accepted that Naim and Rega who make the kit that comprises my music system know what they are doing. The only tweaky thing I've done and really think was worth the effort was to put my Rega TT on a Corian Plinth and use Solid Tech Feet of Silence to isolate it. In doing this the whole construction leaves the Rega untouched - it is merely what it sits on that is unusual. I added a Heed Audio PSU to my father's Rega and that was worth it - but again it leaves the Rega untouched.

So call me naive, but I think if IsoCleans made an audible improvement naim would be using them. I think when a company makes amplifiers that cost more than a family car and retains a reputation for great customer service and value for money products then it must know what it is doing.

You're right that I can't say definitely that IsoCleans wouldn't improve the sound of my naim kit, but I just feel that I'm OK with naim kit as it comrs from naim - my task is to just add music, please see this link for details.

Best regards, Rotf

hi,

I've heard somewhere that naim will be designing there own fuses in the near future, including the internal ones.
So hopefully that will knock all this scepticism on the head.
i would just use the leads, plugs and fuses that come with the gear, imho, you are better off just plugging in and pressing play without changing anything other than a cd or vinyl.

regards,
