Well,
Having done a major rebuild of the system at the weekend, and with SWMBO being out for the evening, I have been hard at it since about 1930.
In the primary listening spot ( supine on sofa located against the right hand wall as you look at the speakers, head furthest from the speakers) I have had a glorious time with:
Annie Lennox
Kings of Leon
Ultravox
Marc Coen
Queen
Vampire Weekend
Journey
It can snow all it wants overnight and if I get snowed in, that's fine, because the system is on song. Plus we have food and heat, and I have just cracked open a nice Glenfarclas 15 year old.
Sweet!
Cheers
Brad

Nothing sinister Stu, just lost the puck behind the rack and had to get it out. One think led to another and the whole lot was disassembled and given a good dusting etc before I put it back together.
I did some reordering of the power supply stack so that the burndies were parallel rather than crossing and I have added discrete chunks of pipe insulation to keep a couple of leads apart. The bubble wrap I tried didn't look nice and it kept slipping. The redressing/restack means that I need to used only two small pieces of pipe insulation instead of oodles of bubble wrap.
There has always been a bass suckout in the "normal" listening spot directly infront of the speakers, caused by the chimney breast. Whilst I would like to sort this with a bunch of bass traps, I have yet to sell the idea to my other half. My preferred listening spot may not be orthodox, but believe you me, it is a sweet spot and things sound magic from there.
I will try and get a couple of photos of the back of the racks at the weekend.
Kind regards
Brad

Definitely the best spot Brad.
Back on to the snow topic.... Didn’t manage to get home until late, as the roads were jammed with loads of people madly spinning their wheels. So no music for me last night.
So with the A14 and A6 at a standstill, I opted for the country roads around Market Harborough (south Leicestershire) to get home. Going off piste was definitely the best idea IMHO, although my two kids who’d been spending the day in Leicester were less sure and were remarkably quiet on the way home!

So are you taking the Sunbeam out for a play this weekend?
Lurid wagging of the tail, without stressing clutch and gearbox!!

We had a lot of snow yesterday morning but most of it is gone here today.

We have about 3" here but according to Sky News, it should be drizzle
As I appear to be stuck at home today, I think I may pass some of the time with a few tunes.

did someone say Sunbeam ? as in the Get Smart car? Possibly Tiger version? Haven's seen one of those for years and SoCal is great for old.... er.... mature sports car fanatics.
