How many of you people like Mary Black ?. I have been an avid fan of hers since I first heard No Frontiers.

Absholutely!
Have nigh on everything by her on CD and have seen her twice at the Albert Hall - the first time (with Declan Sinnot(sp) etc) being the best - I personally prefer her earlier releases, Babes in the Wood, the Holy Ground, etc. - wasn't as impressed with Shine and beyond - sublime voice though eh!

Me Too
Saw her at the Dominion in Tottenham Court Road then RAH (3rd row - yipee) and again at RAH.
Agree about Declan but she had good support acts, The Rankin Family and on another occasion Clive Gregson, early stuff is better IMHO

I will also add that the musicianship and recording quality are quite superb.

My parents bought a Sansui system in a box a long time ago when they were distributed by Mission and inside the box was a Mission Branded Mary Black CD that I snaffled !

She isn't very dirty though. I prefer a bit of emotion over technique.
