PS3 : What are you playing?

Posted by: Alan Paterson on 11 July 2008

Recently finished GTA IV and back on Call of Duty 4 playing online. What are other PS3 owners playing?

Still playing COD4 - no change there.

Playing Super Stardust on the side as well - got my highest ever score last night and got a connection error when it tried to upload the score - lost it, pah!

Never heard of super stardust.

Are you both playing COD4 online?

Just finished the Bourne Identity, which wasn't bad. Must give COD another go. I finished the single player campaign a while ago.

Playing Lego Indiana Jones with my 6 year old boy

CoD4 and Oblivion are still getting the most play time, had GTA4 a while now but haven't touched it much because of the aforementioned very addictive games......

arf005 is my name, naturally.....

I'm Ancipital68 on PSN.

Alan - yes, playing COD4 online.

Send me a friend request and I'll add you and we can all get together in a game. Naimless has played COD4 a lot looking at his stats Big Grin

Super Stardust is like asteroids on steroids - now there's a thing I've just noticed, only 1 letter added to turn steroids into asteroids, bizarre! It's only £3.49 off the PSN store so cheaper than a mcdonalds meal now and much better Smile It is also one of the first games to support trophies so you can compare against your friends.

If there is enough of us (6) we can do a small scale private game on COD4 at 3 a side or if we can find some other people to join in for a bigger game - good idea?

Now the thing is, do you have COD burn in on your screen? Winker
Posted on: 25 July 2008 by arf005
....not on mine as it's a rear proj! Razz

Haven't seen you in a game yet Ancipital, and I still seem to be having problems in the lobby sometimes - I'm not sure if it's my dodgy talktalk broadband or infinity ward server issues...??? But it does get a bit annoying when it happens again and again.....

Also, does anyone know how the clan tags work...???

Cheers,
Ali

You can practically down load any movie from internet in the divx format, store it on a jumpstick (mine has 30 GB capacity) and play it using the PS3.

I played Motorstrom online last week on a friend's PS3. Great fun, seriously considering buying a PS3 myself. So a quicky, how doe it perform as a dvd-player, is the PS3 any good?
Posted on: 17 August 2008 by arf005
In a word YES, and it will upscale to 1080P, if your tv can take it......

Plus a Blue Ray player....

Plus a music library.....

Plus a photo library.....

Plus a video library for all your movie clips...just plug in your hard/thumb drive as long as it is FAT32 format and away you go!

Plus you can do your bit for science with the "folding home" application....

Plus lots more that I can't be bothered writing.....

Oh, plus you can join us in a game of CoD4 online!!

Cheers,
Ali

Bugger the rest of the stuff, just COD4 Big Grin

We had a good game of wholesale slaughter the other night between 4 of us.

Turned into a bit of a battle between Ali and myself with some collateral damage inflicted on Ali's brother and one of my friend's.

I'm Ancipital68 if we do want to arrange a little private match.

Killhouse, headshots, pistols only, no grenade launchers, no marytrdom, no claymores apart from that, anything goes (RPG's, grenades or my favourite, the suicide bomber Big Grin )

Steve.
