Recently finished GTA IV and back on Call of Duty 4 playing online. What are other PS3 owners playing?

...try every night Alan...... Big Grin

Seriously thought, I've tried to add you as a friend and sent you a message about how to add etc etc.

Scroll along to the right of the main menu, called "Friends" scroll up to the "add friend" icon and send a message to the person you wish to add - ie. "arf005"

See you in battle!!

Cheers,
Ali

Wild China in high definition by the BBC program. Highly recommended. This is better than any PS3 game which I play online. The PS3 is a better blueray player than a online game machine.

Anyone got the new metal gear solid? Been thinking about getting it but wonder how difficult the controls are. I remember playing the first one years ago at a friends (ps1 or ps2, can't remember now) and it took ages to master the controls for sneaking around and such like. Is it any harder that COD4? I must say at the time i only really played driving games. I suppose it just takes practice.

Yeah, Grand Turismo rules - Wroom!!

The only thing is: driving a car in a simulation like game with the joypad is nonsense to me. You really need a good steering wheel to get the feedback and the right feeling.
A joypad is good for "unrealistic" arcade style fun racers like Ridge Racer or Motorstorm. But e.g. Sega Rally is transformed by a wheel: Undrivable without - much fun with. Also Colin McRae: DiRT benefits a lot from one (i.m.h.o.).

But then it was quite a long setup until you placed the wheel, the pedals, the cabling, ect. And at the end of the gaming session everything has to be cleared up, because it clutters the living room. The small table in front of the sofa is too low, and the position was painful for my back after a while. But I had no other place to attach the steering wheel.

In the end I got lazy and the thing began to catch dust... A playseat needs too much space and is expensive. But now I finally found a good solution. It's less expensive than a playseat, you can easily fold and put it away when not needed, it can be adjusted to your sitting position. It is called http://wheelstandpro.com/

The passion for racing games is back, I drive better than before and have no problems with my back, even after longer sessions Cool highly recommended.

happy racing

I like the look of that stand. Have never bothered with a wheel before because of the problems you mentioned.

I am alanrp if you want to add me.

Agreed. Way to short, for a start.

Back to Oblivion, with Fallout 3 waiting Big Grin
