British blues

Hi,

Can you advice me for some good album available on cd with similar material like Fleetwood Mac blues phase with Peter Green, John Dummer Blues Band, Brunnig/Hall B. Band, Climax Ch. B. Band (first album), Savoy Brown, Chicken Shack.
It must be British between years 67'-74'.
I would really apreciate your advices.
Thank you,
Ozren Smile

Get the Beano Album by John Mayell & The Bluebreakers, it really is supurb. You want it on vinyl really though!

Fleetwood Mac live in Chicago is excellent but like rocking horse shit.

Layla by derek and the dominos, most people put there nose up to this now, but I think its really good.

Back to the roots, John Mayall

Black & White Blues Little red Roster is a great compilationto get a feel for reythum and blues from both sides of the fence.

My natural progression from this type of blues was in Ry Cooder, well worth a listen, I have a lot of his stuff.

Saw Walter Trout last night (ok,he's not British!) on the first date of his UK tour and the guy is phenomenal (as is his drummer!!!). New CD Relentless recorded live at the Paradiso so should reflect this. Quite amazing.
