Granite Supports

Posted by: FangfossFlyer on 25 November 2001

I went to the recent Manchester Hi-Fi show to see the Fraim and whilst there my wife noticed the hne (www.hne.co.uk) granite support system. She much prefered the look of these and I admit they looked good.

But....

Has anyone had any experience with using granite for a support sytem under Naim amps?

How do they sound?

Any experience of the comparison between the more conventional supports such as Mana, Fraim, Hutter etc.?

I use the hne granite stands under my N805s and they transform the performance of these speakers (along with a mountain of electronics and some Nordost Pulsar points).

I have examined the granite supports and they do look good but I haven't tried auditioning them.

Ring Peter Stuart, the very helpful MD of hne, and ask to borrow a rack. I'm (fairly) sure he would lend one on a sale or return basis.

Otherwise Grahams is a London dealer of hne and Naim.
