Any news on the Uniti App?
Posted by: divuk83 on 30 March 2010
I know I'm a bit early as I think it was due for an April/May release however I just wondered if there was any news on this? Is there any screen shots, info on its features or even a release date to tease us with?
Cheers
Dave
PS if you need a beta tester for the app let me know

Almost the end of June............. any news? Maybe just tease us with a few screenshots for now?
As for iOS4.0, it's a bit of a disapointment, its seems to have made my 2g touch slightly sluggish and slow to repsond. Still at least it was free to upgrade for ipod users, unlike last time.
Cheers

hi
found these pictures of the new app - looks like it should be as good looking as the usual Naim gear.

Its the 1st of July, anyone from Naim can give us an update as to when we can hope to be available.

Plan right now is week beginning 12th July for production units, existing units in the field will need a s/ware update which will be available about a month later. This will be as 24/96 update via rs232,customers who are able can do this or its a retailer/distributor service which may incur some labour cost.

Hi Paul,
I was refering to the iphone/itouch uniti application. Are you referring to the Uniti firmware update?

So a firmware update will be required on older models to run the app is that right?
Also will I be able to download this update.
As you state customers who are able to perform update.

So if I'm on 2.0.00 I will need another update to use the remote app?

I'm in Indianapolis and was using David Dever's beta nstream app on his sweet old skool G3s controlling a qute into Dac/xps/nac152/flatcap/300/white!Ovators. Brilliant sound and great control.

Sounds like a release may not be immanent - I got this reply from Steven Hopkins when I enquired about a release date:
"We are just waiting for Apple certification so I expect before the end of July
Regards
Steven Hopkins"
Lets hope Apple don't take too long!

Here is the app in action. Anxiously awaiting release in app store. Photo taken with an app envious iPhone 4.

And here are the White Ovators at the receiving end of the signal.

I knew someone was going to whine about that. Ya know, we tried it a bunch of ways and it sounded best when it was completely jumbled together in a rats nest. Dunno.
Anyway, this was not even where we positioned the speakers for listening. This shot is akin to showing a picture of a carburetor uninstalled on the shop bench. Not a lifestyle or marketing shot.
But I know you are teasing. Oh, you.... kidder.

The 3GS phone in the picture is mine (320 x 480 px). Didn't install the app on Connon's 4G but love the resolution on everything else!
