OK I really liked that secong ballad/country style song the band used as the second list on their wemble set tonight.. Any recomendations for an album that follows in a similar vein Razz

Try the self-titled Metallica album which 'Nothing Else Matters' was originally on. The cover is black hence it is sometimes referred to as the black album.

Agree that the "Black" (self titled) Metallica album is the main target for you. I think all three tracks they played were from that album.
Another album in the same vein you might try by a heavy band is Megadeth "Countdown To Extinction".
A lot of hevy albums have great ballads- Scorpions are masters of this.
Other possibilities are Lynyrd Skynyrd- Pronounced and Guns and Roses Use You Illusion 1 and 2.

If you liked the slow stuff I suggest you check out 'Load'. This moves away from their heavier stuff and is only what i can describe as bluesy-hard rock

If you want bluesy hard rock then listen to Clutch.......Metalica lost it years ago.

Sorry for being down on them but there are better bands doing it it better than them now.

yes i used to be a massive fan and now struggle with the newer stuff/
