He plays so often at the vortex that it seems naim could really show their commitment to music by being a corporate contributor to the Save The Vortex campaign. This is a fantastic little venue which really supports all form of music from free jazz to Antonio. Go on Paul give it some consideration!

The Vortex is a brilliant venue.

Tonight we are off to the Vortex (139-141 Stoke Newington Church Street 0207-254 6516) to see 'As Meninas' - a sort of brazilian jazz thing with a good vocalist. Tix are £7.50 on the door. I think it will be pretty cool, feel free to come and join us (we can be spotted wearing our Mullet Audio T-shirts and bikers jackets).

saw anotonio performing at the holywell music rooms in oxford on saturday night, and it was fantastic. not only is the guy an exceptional guitarist, but a wonderful performer and entertainer too.

the obvious enjoyment that he has in playing and his enthusiasm is infectious and the little touches he added really made it an evening to remember.

the first piece he played "touchwood" was stunning. (hopefully this will be available on CD soon?) it's amazing the sounds that he manages to get out of his guitar, and the percussive elements he plays on the body of the guitar really bring an extra dimension to the music.

if you've not seen him live, you're missing out...

cheers

I was lucky to see him at the Holywell too (Europe's oldest purpose built concert hall allegedly...) Briliiant to hear and see him live - virtuoso performance really. The Live CD makes more sense now. Great stuff from the cellist and other guitarist Georgio the 'maestro' too. They looked to be having a lot of fun.

Highly recommended.
