I Am Sam soundtrack

A collection of contemporary Beatles covers. Any opinions?

I'm particularly interested in the Stereophonics version of "Don't Let Me Down". I was in Starbucks and a rather acoustic-y version of this song was playing; the clerk said it was Stereophonics. Is the soundtrack version sort of "unplugged", or is there another Stereophonics version out there somewhere on an EP or cd single?

Many thanks.

With all due respect, I don't "get' Rufus. His nouveau-cabaret concept is interesting enough, but his singing really bugs me; he sounds like he's constantly yawning with a mouth full of marbles, and he swoops and glides way too much between notes. But for fans of his, I guess that's my problem, and I accept it as such.

However, John Lennon's own singing on this song is world weary beautiful.
