Coax antenna cable

Hi,
The signal of my digital tv is only 45% when using my regular coax cable (10 metres). When I connect another, higher quality coax before it (unfortunately this one alone is too short) it reaches 55%. I really don't understand how that can be. Any ideas?
Anyway, I was thinking of buying a better cable. Must be at least 5 metres, what do you guys recommend?
Regards, Bas

You may have too higher signal and the extra cable + connectors is providing enough attenuation to improve the signal. Is the measure strength or quality or just a combination of both ?

Are you looking for a terminated cable female - male? Or cable on a reel?

CT100 - Satellite type cable. Good screening (double screened) and readily available.

Seconded, low loss satellite cable with the foil outer screen, far better than standard coax cable...

Well, the problem seemed to be in the frequency of the digital decoder; another decoder made the signal strength come up to about 50%. Now I stumbled upon a Monster Monstervideo 2 antenna cable. When I connect this, the signal strenght reaches 60%. Everything is fine now!
