whats the best, audiovisually speaking, method of setting up the PS3 to the system...eg use 552 or AV2

NAIM system 555/500/552/B&W 802Ds/AV2/Pioneer 52"plasma/175/150/150 + subwoofer dolby 5.1 set up for home theatre etc with all relevant power supplies

Into the AV2 assuming you are looking for dolby digital/DTS decoding for your games/dvd/blurays via optical. (this is how mine is setup)

Analogue into you 552 would only give you stereo and my bet is the AV2 would decode at a better quality than the PS3 anyhow.

I played with one this Christmas and optical into my AV2 was the way to go.

You have to arse about to turn on the optical out. Not a problem unless your rushed by a family who want to watch Batman (now) and have never played with one before.

I assume you are already using a HDMI cable for video. Otherwise you are all set.
