phono boards

could any one please tell me the difference between the s k & e boards available
my cart is ortofon rohmann & pre is 82 with s type boards are these suitably matched this is my latest foray into the vynil world for about 9 years and would like to get the best from the cart
the previous cart was ort mc 15 super 11 & was purchased at the same time as s boards (dealers advice)

"S" = "safe bet" for most low-output MC carts (originally for "Supex"??)
