speaker wire

I am thinking about moving niam stuff to another wall. Right now I have 12 feet of naim 5 to both speakers. I would now need 29 feet of wire to each speaker. Is that ok or too long. Thanks Ted. Nac 82 psc,, hi, cdx, nap 250. Let me know, Thanks

29 feet is about 9 meters
It is recomended that you have a minimum of 3.5 meters per side, quite a few people have mentioned improved sonics on runs greater than 5 meters...

How far is too far

I'm pretty sure 20 meters is max. Many of us have found the shorter the better though (with an absolute minimum of 3.5 meters to ensure Naim power amp stability and warranty). FWIW, I've got a similar setup to yours and have experimented with lengths at 3.5, 6 and 10 meters and 3.5 sounds the best in my rig (treble rolls off and the bass gets loose or flabby with increased NACA 5 length)...I'm sure results vary with different speaker/pwramp combos though (I'm using a single 250 and briks).
regards,
dave

From what I remember reading in earlier threads in this Forum there is certainly no problem with 10m.
