Kamikazi Pilots :

Durin the War of course the Yanks had to deal with a lot of these very effective 'weapons'. I think though today 'even in Civil War' the term 'Suicide Bomber' should be changed to something else ? when used by the 'Media' as it automatically implies Hero/Martyre status and encourages 'volunteers'. They will always be there, and you nor I can ever say that under certain circumstances we wouldn't do the same thing, I just think that when an individual kills themselves taking many other 'innocent civilians' with them, they should not be given this priority status irrespective from where they cometh!
Fritz Von Judge says to accused:
Have you anything to say Man afore I pass sentence on yee ?
Man answers 'Fuck All'
Judge: who's a bit Mutton asks his assistant, What did he say `
"Fuck all yer Honour "
There's a thing replied the auld Man.
"I could have sworn I saw his lips move "
Thanks Billy

The word literally translates to 'Divine Wind'.

"Homicide bomber" - shouldn't that be more like "Murdering, selfish bastard"?

I agree, though I don't think Mr Murdoch would somehow, or the Barclay twins for that matter either

"I agree, though I don't think Mr Murdoch would somehow, or the Barclay twins for that matter either"
or the beeb
"According to the Telegraph:
The BBC has re-edited some of its coverage of the London Underground and bus bombings to avoid labelling the perpetrators as "terrorists", it was disclosed yesterday….The BBC's guidelines state that its credibility is undermined by the "careless use of words which carry emotional or value judgments". Consequently, "the word 'terrorist' itself can be a barrier rather than an aid to understanding" and its use should be "avoided", the guidelines say. "

Well the bloody terrorists are certainly lacking in understanding of something! I liked it better when they committed suicide with their bombs. One less arsehole, two less arseholes, three less arseholes, etc etc. Given enough time they might ...just... catch on that they are being used as cannon fodder by a ruthless monster for his own ends.

Having just accidently spied some of the posts on the Pink Salmon Show regarding this subbject generally, I was pleased to see that Padded Cell Prisoners can still on occassion think for themselves and use informed imagination (rather than blatant speculation), unlike the constant Murdochesque, boring old cut & paste copy from their ranks, some of them in fact being ex-members of here who unfortunately left for the safety of the yes men numbers, rather than burn their fingers sometimes in the Real World of virtual Forums a 'La Par Thingy, innit.

Well, based on the news we're getting tonight here, it sounds like they did just that...
Channel 4 News is saying that Britain has in fact suffered its first suicide bombing.

They have been saying on the danish news that the police (with army support) arrested five in Leeds after tracing the one who blew himself up. I always thought the bus passenger bomber was on his way to another tube station (and missed his stop) Timing devices were used on the Underground bombs.

Nime,
It's still speculation I know, but tonight on the news they were saying it was possible that the terrorist whose bomb went off on the bus may have been trying to get on to the Northern Line tube but for the fact that the Northern Line had been closed due to the previous bombs on the Underground going off.

On a lighter note - perhaps one for the "short joke" thread:
What is the question to the answer "Chicken Teryaki"?
Name the only surviving kamikaze pilot...
