Which Camcorder ?

Hi Guys,
I know that there are people on this forum who appreciate quality and are picky about features and what's to have and what's not to bother with ...

So which camcorder do you folks use ?

I have my eye on a Panasonic 3MOS sensor 1/4" with a Leica Dicomar lens.

Not sure if the internal HDD is the way to go, SDHC sounds good, definitely not disc burning though.

My wife's due date is approaching, so naturally my thoughts turn to camcorders ...

I did absolutely no research and bought a Sony with a 240GB HDD because it was on sale and there was an "open box" one which gave us a double discount. It seems very good, but I have no clue, really.

Got the Panasonic HS250, it has the same lens and sensors as the HS300 (hard-drive) and TM300 (twin-memory stick) which are their prosumer camcorders.

Henry's had it for $850, that's $350 off their regular price !!

Ok, kid, we're ready for ya (baby due on 14th Jan).
