Phono to BNC, please help!

Sorry to bother you guys with such a piddly little matter but I'm stumped. I just bought a 102, and want to connect my AV stuff through the phono socket as a line-in connection. I've got phono to BNC adapters, but don't know which lead goes where. Does the red lead go in channel 1 or 2, or doesn't it matter? Confused

If there are proper phono boards in the 102 behind the socket then it won't work with a 'line' level input from AV going in will it??

If you have got line boards behind the phono input ignore the above!

I can't remember which is which so I usually find a recording with an obvious left/right pan or use the balance control to swap all the sound to one speaker. If it goes the correct way (i.e. left on balance control gives left speaker sound) then I know I've got the red/white channel 1/channel 2 the correct way round!

Regards,
Steve.

Thanks for the advice guys. I've tried it out and no sound occurs when I try to use the BNC inputs for line in. Guess I'll just get me a Din to phono lead that will reach the AV stuff and do it that way.

Thanks again!
