Upgrade?

Hi All
I think I'm about to catch the upgrade bug and I need some help/advice.
Over the last couple of years I've moved from a non-descript system to a modest entry-point Naim one. At present it consists of a CD3.5 cd player (2000), NAC 92 pre amp (1999), NAP 90.3 power amp (1999), and Intro 2 speakers (2001) connected by Naim cable. At first I was astouded by the quality of sound compared to my previos system. But now I'm thinking it ought to be improved - but I only have limited funds. In fact only £450 at the moment.
My initial thoughts were to buy a second hand power supply. Probably a flatcap. But after consulting this forum I thought that a Hicap would offer better quality and retainability at the next upgrade. This would be used on the cd player. But I'm finding this difficult with only £450.
My next thought was to upgrade the cd player but I don't know what to nor the second hand cost. Would the resale value of my CD3.5 plus £450 allow me to do this?
What about changing my amps for a second hand NAP 140 / NAC 72 combination? Again second hand values aren't known.
Does anyone have opinions/advice on the best way forward. My music room (lounge!) is 16' x 17' and my tastes include Robert Plant, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, Amos Millburn, Big Joe Turner, Pink Floyd, KLF, Orb and Claude Challe. All help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Ian
