Sky HD sound quality

I am wondering what the general opinion of the sound quality from the Thomson Sky HD box is.
I find it has become my main source of listening and the sound quality is superb.
Some of the best recordings I have on disc include the Crossroads guitar festival, which has top class sound and picture, various diverse concerts from Artsworld HD, especially Procul Harum live.
I have numerous Recordings of "Later with Jools".Highlights include David Gilmore with David Crosby and Graham Nash on vocals,Van Morrison and Carlos Santana. Friday's programme had some marvellous performances. The recording quality on Christy Moore and Razorlite was some of the best I have heard from any source, Razorlite's performance of America sounding better than the CD version.
Does anyone agree?
I had an active Naim system with SBL/135's/SBL, but now have Quad 99/909/CDP2(which I use as a DAC for converting the optical audio out from the Sky box)Shahinian Obelisk and Pioneer 436XDE
plasma, which is wall mounted where the fireplace used to be!
