NAC 102 and board pulling

Posted by: Willem van Gemert on 08 February 2001

Hi all,

A few weeks ago I bought a one year old NAC 102. According to the previous owner it comes with phonoboards (MC). As I don't have a turntable at the moment, I don't use them. Is it worth removing the boards? If so, how does it work? Can I do it myself or do I have to let my dealer do it?

Ciao!

If you can get the case open (the hard part), then removing the boards is a no brainer. You'll see them sitting in there, and you just pop them out.

Thanks Mike & Clifton,

Having just read Richard's very positive experience with the NAPSC I think I'll order a new NAPSC from my dealer and ask him if he can remove the Phono boards at the same time. I haven't told him yet that I bought the one year old NAC 102, Hicap, NAP 180 and I'm sure he won't be too happy I didn't buy it from him, but that's life. That's the problem when you're friends with your dealer.

Ciao!
