What 'sync's with the DAC and what doesn't

Please tell me if this has already been doen - it would be useful to know.
My list so far:
Naim CDX2.2 Yes
Naim CD5XS Yes
Squeezebox Classic No
NAD C545BEE CD player No
Pioneer DVD/HDD player Yes!

By syncs I assume you mean lights up the sync indicator?
I'm surprised by the SB classic - not up to my Transporter, but not that bad either?

Zotac Ion motherboard through toslink/SPDIF at 44.1 and 48kHz: Yes.
Pioneer TV: Yes.
Sony cheapo DVD player via SPDIF: Yes

Sync light on for:
1. Oppo BDP-83 (S/PDIF)
2. RME 9632 (BNC)
3. M-Audio Transit (Toslink)

Mine syncs with everything.
Cheapo Philips DVD,
Denon CDP,
USB Stick,
iPhone,
iPhone streaming UPNP from a remote Foobar,
Foobar-to-Foobar UPNP,
M-audio Transit,
ESI Juli@.
Nothing has yet failed to sync.
Also everything that can play 24-96 is lighting up the Hires light as well.

out of curiosity, does anyone know what the files needs to be encoded to for it not to Sync with the DAC?
