American Troubadour Music - Guy Clark

Live Music. Last night I went to the famous 'Hotel du Nord' in Paris, where a couple of nights a week they have essentially acoustic concertsts. If everybody behaves and squeezes in tightly there's maybe enough room for 200 people, probably less.
Last night's show was Guy Clark, with Verlon Thompson. Guy played songs from three Cds that are currently available 'Cold Dog Soup', 'Keepers' and 'Live at the Bluebird Cafe'(with Townes Van Zandt & Steve Earle). Guy writes and sings songs about Food, Old people, trains, Picasso and many other subjects. His style is very intimate and direct.
If you like songs that bring pictures to your ears then you could do a lot worse than try 'Cold Dog Soup', it's beautifuly recorded and contains about 12 songs with 'Cold Dog Soup' and 'Fort Worth Blues' being the favourites for me.
