n-Vi or Uniti

Does anybody check the difference between the n-Vi and the uniti at sound? Both will be good ( i guess ) Is it sound like the supernait?
And is it possible to ad an extra power amp to each of them? If i like to drive my speakers with more power?
And can they both ad an external power supply?
I like the streaming music posibilities. The uniti got's a DAC inside and it has an antenna. Can i direcly pick up the signal out of mine WIFI home network? Or do i need to connect my airport express to the uniti?
I have an iMac with iTunes. with what bitrate can i pick up the signal? I thought the airport express can only transfer 16Bit. How much can i pick up with the uniti?

What do you want to acheive with it ? Remember that the n-Vi is a DVD player with CD replay, FM / DAB Tuner and 5 channel amplifier all in one box. Just add speakers and a TV and you are away.
The Uniti is basically a 'music centre' with, i say, better components - the CD player and amplifier stage themselves are better than the n-Vi DVD drive and Tripath digital amps and of course a tuner and music streamer. It's 2 channel and no DVD capability.

Not having heard the Uniti or n-Vi, and the Supernait only briefly, I cannot comment on which sounds better. But I can imagine the supernait has more power and is upgradeble with a poweramp or power supply, and overall has better sound quality.
As you already have a Supernait and an iMac, I think a great way is to use an airport express digitally connected to your supernait and an ipod touch/iphone as a remote. The streaming will be handled by the iMac-->airport express.
The Uniti can also do the streaming part, without the airport express. But I think the SN+APexpress will sound better and certainly have more power.

If you're using 2 speakers, get the Uniti. More suited to your needs and better in stereo.

I do use two speakers ( really great ones )
I connect my television on it and it sounds great.
At this moment i play with an iMac and a airport express. I like the physical of playing CD's and guess it could/would be better then the airport express DAC.
About the bit rate. Can i play with 320 kbps threw the wifi? Or lossless threw wifi or is there a maximum of 192 kbps ?
About the aplification. What different type of power amp is in the n-Vi and uniti. is the uniti the same like a NAP150x and a n-Vi like a class D amp?

If you want to use the UPNP features of a Uniti then it should play most things apart from apple lossless as I understand it.
If you are simply attaching an airport express to the dac section of a uniti or nVi then it will play anything the express can stream

RE: bit rate, you can easily stream 320. Lossless, i believe WAV and/or FLAC easily. ALAC can be done with some concessions I am not sure of.
RE: amplification. Yes I believe you are correct that the N-Vi are Class D. The Uniti is based on the Nait 5i integrated.

With the uniti is it possible to use a NAS ? So i don't have to use my computer? Radio can be picked up from my WIFI if i understand it correctly. But for my stored CD's can i use a NAS?

I do now have a chord rumour 2 speaker cable ( 3 meter ) between my Uniti and speakers.
But did some body test the NAC A5 against the Chord rumour 2
What are the for and against between them?
