Chips again

I know the subject has been done and maybe overdone, but can anybody give me a clear fix on whether Fraim chips help the sound of Mana stands? I'm also interested in knowing how much they might assits in preventing these infernal stands from going out of balance.
Thanks

I use my Mana with these on a wooden floor, the main advantage is that it stops a heaviliy laden rack digging large holes into the floor. It has made my Mana stay in perfect tune for many months

On the sound quality I haven't done a A/B with/without I am afraid.

I have noticed that if a Mana stand is moved once it is set up, even slightly, the glass chatters and needs to be retuned. But moving a heavily laden rack if it is properly mounted is a non- issue, becasue it's too heavy.

I also think that if everything stays the same and does not move a Mana stand will stay in tune. On the Fraim's design (ball bearings) tuning the glass is a non issue.
