leaving for a week

Leaving for a week; turn off or leave the kit on.Pretty much past the thunderstorm season in the midwest.what do other forum members do when leaving for holidays.

Went to Australia for a month, left everything on except the power amp.

I switch mine off whenever I go away for more than a couple of days.

When you come back, it's worth taking the time to unplug & re-plug all of the connections 10 times. This gives them a nice clean, and is recommended in the manuals.

Well worth it.

Martin - you either do not go away frequently or you think that the plug cleaning is more beneficial than the warm up process.

If I followed your practice I would never have a stable system <g>

Derek,

you're right, we don't go away that often.

However, I'm coming round to the opinion that the plugs want a good "seeing to" about once a quarter.

I do wonder if this might put a lot of wear on the plugs & sockets, though.
