I can tell you they're very good and precision machined, as I have some.

I saw some guy using this in my record store to listen to records - he put the record on the floor and started playing it - scary

Did you try playing the record afterwards or did you have to scrap it (assuming that the guy didn't buy it)?

I would assume that it the quick way to kill an LP

unfortunately (or fortunately!) I do not own the record store, it is the record store nearest my house.
Actually it didn't loook like it would do much damage with just one play unless you really scratched the record or dropped the thing on it
