I ask myself the same question.

I believe that the all - in cost, ie prefix mod, new black snaic, & postage come to around £140

(I gave Naim a ring)

The black SNAIC prefix upgrade is definitely worth it. The improvement is much like grey to black upgrade on the amps

If you can get at the Prefix, it is something you can do yourself. If not any Naim dealer should be able to in a few minutes

Caution: do not attempt to use a standard SNAIC by cutting off one of the plugs, it will not be long enough

As well as teh snaic update there's a mod that reduces RFI suceptibility and improves performance as well. Had this done in November. Can't say what the sonic improvement was as being a lazy git I left my LP12 in the shop for the duration. Whilst there my Klyde got bent but we came to an arrangement over a s/h Arkiv. Certainly eliminated the minor RFI issues I had.
Other thing worth trying is connecting teh earthwire to a spare socket earth on the prefix PSU.

Willy.
