No it's this years, it was featured on the BBC as being an Insult to the Town. I work there sometimes and made a trip to see it. The tree in my house is a league better than Peterlee's. It has though apparently been replaced by a better version from Hamsterley Forest. What were they thinking of?

And again..
I would like to express some form of seasonal greeting, but it
is so difficult in today's world to know exactly what to say without
offending someone. Having taken professional advice I believe that it is
acceptable to write the following:
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an
environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non addictive,
gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced with
the most enjoyable traditions of religious persuasion or secular practices
of your choice with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or
traditions of others, or their choice to abstain absolutely.
I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically
uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar
year 2009, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other
cultures whose contributions to society have helped make our country great
(not to imply that Great Britain is necessarily greater than any other
country) and without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical
ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

Dear Adam,
"Bah ... Humbug!"
In this season of [potentially] good cheer we all need something to smile at, and a quick dig at Political Correctness, is as good a dig as can be found.
The only section of society that I find not only different to me, but also obnoxious, without redemption, is the PC brigade!
I think the represent a sort of New Faczista movement!
But I wish the PC brigade members a Happy Christmas as well, in spite of all!
