Sprinsteen Live in New York- Triple vinyl set

Posted by: Peter Stockwell on 10 May 2001

I've just seen this for a very reasonable €25. Is this set worth the effort ? I've only managed to here a few seconds of crowd noise from this recording and it strikes me as unnecessary after the 75-85 set and the (not) unplugged sets. Anyone rady to change my mind ?

are right.

Sounds like crap, if you raise the volume enough, though, it has a kind of "wall of sound" quality which, I think, makes it good for a deaf sound engineer.

This is the vinyl version (beware, again - see the R.E.M. Reveal thread -: I am taking my copy back for the second time because of a pressing defect, this time on side one: is it possible that they can't press vinyl anymore?).

Maybe the CD version doesn't even have that chance, becoming fierce at high volumes, as is my experience with most Broooooce albums.
