Ok, After buying Fagens 2nd album on the gold sony superbit mapping I have discovered these target cd's. Does anyone have any of fagens stuff on these pressings? Or know how good they are?

Sorry about not replying sooner. I only just saw the thread. I have a few target discs all which IMHO sound excellent
Fleetwod Mac- Rumours,s/t and Mirage
John Fogerty- Centrefield
Fagen's- Nightfly
Rickie Lee Jones- s/t,Pirates and Magazine
Neil Young- Harvest
Ry Cooder- Bop & Borderline
I love the Fagen target as opposed to the normal run of the mill disc. Long time since I have heard the vinyl so can't say if it is better than it.
There are 3 Fagen targets a WG made for the Japanese market, WG and a Japanese pressing. Here's a link about the current list of available targets and their variations.

Target discs are usually straight transfers from the original vinyl album. Some I have heard are great/fantastic and others not so.
Some are very rare and expensive.
The gold Kamiriakad (probably spelt that wrong)is expensive but from what other people have told me is worthwhile getting. How did you find it sound wise as I haven't got a copy but it has been on my shopping list for sometime.

I have just had a quick look on eBay for a reasonably priced Target disc and both on there at present are way over priced. You should be looking to paying about $25- $30 for a good copy. I also noticed that the Gold Kami etc etc discs that are one there at present are going for 80 squid plus. I will keep my eye out for one as I ain't paying that price.

I got the gold kami for a bargain, $26, said to be in excellent condition!, it hasnt arrived yet but I will report how good it is when it comes.

It is. As for the Fagen target I have a WG made for the WG market which I think sounds excellent.
If you want one Right Wing I may be able to pick one up for you on another site I use. There was one going on there earlier today for about $33 all in. But it is popular so not sure if it is still there. I have posted my email add in the listening to right now section under a reply to Jeff Anderson.
