I just had a call from a call centre representing my credit card. It was a bizarre sounding but very polite chap calling to inform me that my current choice prevented them from contacting me about their bank services that may be actually be of interest to me.
"Good" I said.
He then went on to tell me that this may preclude me from taking advantge of services I might not know about. Still very polite.
So I asked him what was the point in me ticking a box for no contact if they're going to contact me, at the same time telling me I asked them not to make contact? So he very politely wished me a good evening and said they wouldn't contact me.
